Would you rather
Would you rather do $2 million+ worth of work for $60k or $0 worth of work for $0. That’s the situation I am in now. Same company for 3 years. Over those 3 years my responsibilities at this company ramped up exponentially but my pay instead increased .. 3 fucking percent. This company is making so money of me for all the work I do and I know I’m right cause I even help accounting with creating the quote to the dam customer. Like what the fuck. I think I rather quit then get worked to the bone and have all that money go to to the CEO.
I am so sick of being strung along
I found a position I was actually excited for, work from home, in a field I have experience in, ideal hours. The recruiter and I hit it off immediately, had an excellent interview, emailed back and forth about my availability and other things related to the job. On thursday she said she would speak with me Sunday (today) Just to tell me I didn’t get it. I assume it’s because I was their second choice and they were waiting to hear back from their first, but why fucking lead me on and waste my time, make me actually want this job, to then wait with bated breath for weeks to be told “Actually we’re going with someone else.” I’m just exhausted. I don’t know how many more applications I have in me. The mental and physical exhaustion are taking their toll on me. If any recruiters are lurking here, stop…

When will companies learn?
I was a controller for a small company that was acquired by a fortune 500 company. The division we were put into does not have local accounting people. Their accounting is done at headquarters, but we were/are self supporting and had to do our own. Because of this they did not have an accounting title for me. So, they made me a customer care manager. I really did not care as long as I was paid. Big mistake… I did not get a raise in April 2020, but I just went with it thinking it was due to COVID. The next year (2021) I again did not get a raise and realized it had nothing to do with COVID. It was because I made too much money for the position I was put in. I complained and let them know that if there was a third year without a raise,…
That's all I got, and I hope you guys do the same. Except on days off, of course.
Missed Punch Forms
Reading through some of the posts on this sub I remembered an experience I had a few years ago (I am now employed elsewhere this is just an FYI for others) I used to work for a DDonut shop around where I live. At the end of every week my manager used to bring out a binder to all employees with everyone's “missing punches” and ask us to sign the times he put in. I noticed there were always several instances to sign so I started taking pictures of all of my punch ins and outs. I would start pulling up the images and showing “no I actually punched out but it the time you put down isn't right” and he'd correct it. After only a few times of me correcting him and proving I am taking pictures of my punches, suddenly I didn't have to sign the book…
