Living on Benefits
Repost because the last time I tried to post, my account wasn't old enough. Disclaimer: I live in the UK, so our benefits system works differently to the Americans'. Throwaway account for reasons that will soon become clear. I saw the post a little while ago that reached the popular tab about the person exploiting the system to get out of work and now sits around playing video games all day, and it's made me doubt myself a little. I have autism and a few other mental health conditions that stem from it that would make it almost impossible for me to find a work environment that can accommodate my needs, and as a result, my work coach has made it so that I don't need to look for work at all. I feel so much freer than I did when I was on full-time education, and I've enjoyed life…
How do I sue my former workplace?
So I've been working at a supermarket deli for 6 months now, going on my last week there. Since I started we've had 4-7 people at a time because new people come and leave in under a week, without even saying anything, just disappear. At four people all we have is 2 openers, 2 closers. A lot of us worked 7 day weeks, even back to back for 14 days in a row. I know employees can consent to not having a day off but we were never even asked, just expected to do it. The work is physically intense, the pay is the same as cashiers (min), we're all expected to be full time even if you've voiced your concerns about being a student. My boyfriend and I coming in at the right time is the only reason that place is still running or they would have only had…
What is your opinion on “coaching”?
My job loves to hand coachings left and right for literally anything they a deem a ''problem'' they claim it doesn't mean anything serious that it's just a slap on the hand but they get over zelous.
Call centre job sucks
I am stuck in this loop of exploitation.i can't take a break but take calls continuosly for 8 hrs..got fed up with talking to some strangers all day..along with that the pressure from bosses to increase count..this is ridiculous..I start to hate the world of jobs.. I hate th ceos and hate all the bosses across the world that exploit peoples for money.. I hate myself for being in this situation and for not getting suitable degree to get a salary jobs.
