The only way I can “cure” myself is by telling the doctor that everything that is wrong with me atm (which really isn’t a lot when you think about it) was due to the car accident, and the only way I’m seeing this doctor/chiropractor is if the accident I was involved in, is if the insurance covers it.

I have been with my professional services firm as a consultant for four years, and while the work was usually interesting and the office culture was decent, I always felt that the compensation was lacking and below market. I stayed because I was always told that over time my compensation would catch up. That was a lie. Fast forward to this fall to my annual compensation discussion, where I was notified that the company has experienced record profits. My base salary increase was 3% and variable compensation was 6%, non-negotiable. While this is a slight beat on inflation, it is peanuts relative to what my peers are receiving at other firms and relative to the amount of revenue we generate for the firm. Learning Adulting isn’t fun
I’ve had a lot going on these last few months and it was easier to handle at first but as time gone on it became harder to just leave what’s going on at the door. Yesterday, I was at work and was trying to recover from something that was upsetting me. Hello All, This my first post and I appreciate all the tidbits of wisdom that you all post in this subreddit. If a similar post or query was made in the past then I apologize in advance. So I have a question for you all. As the title suggests do you switch off the company provide work phone once you are home? I had a slight argument with my father regarding what happens after you reach home. Or do you leave it on but do not return any phone calls nor text messages on the work phone after 5pm until the following workday? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
So I'm a stage hand. But today I was on stage door. My duties had ended but was expected to wait for a truck that wasn't ours. My duties end when the show ends. But I was asked to help clean stage. Fine its 5 minutes. THEN I get told to open the outside door n let the truck in 15min later in the freezing cold nothing. Closed the door n went to my manager. He told me to wait even though I'm back in at 8am it's 11pm. Don't worry come in later… I replied my gf was waiting from 10.30 (when I was supposed to leave) I know shows run long but making me do 14h plus just coz is a dick move.
