Bit of a background: I work at a non profit… and I've been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Social Anxiety, Major Depressive Disorder, and ADHD. I fear these people are conspiring and are trying to find a way to fire me. Today this happened: 9:24 PM: I got an email from the Senior Vice President asking if I am working tonight (I am working in help desk). I responded with a yes 9:31 PM: She asks for me to change another user's e-mail signature to a new title from Vice President Transformation & Strategy to Associate Vice President, Transformation & Strategy. I complete this task and respond to the e-mail confirming this. 9:34 PM: She thanks me and asks to change it to Associate Vice President instead of Vice President. I complete this and confirmed that it is done. 9:41 PM: She apologizes and says it should be Associate Vice President, Strategy…

The Cliffnotes of the situation is I filed for unemployment after being fired from a toxic job I should’ve quit months prior, got the unemployment, boss appealed the decision, the DOL decided second time around that I was rightfully awarded unemployment benefits. During the hearing my boss lied up and down and it was evident, including saying I quit during the hearing despite saying I was terminated in his original interview. Anyway the the thing that is really getting under my skin is that he said during the hearing that I was “demanding raises” when in fact they offered me a promotion to manager that I turned down several times and when I finally did accept it we had a discussion in which we agreed on a raise schedule that was a compromise between what I was asking for and what he felt he could accommodate during the period of…
I was offered an entry level position for a well established company that I am only taking for the money. They scheduled me for an orientation last minute (1 day notice) and I went but wasn’t able to complete my tasks because my log in didn’t work so they just sent me home. Because the log in doesn’t work I have nobody to email, no way to check a schedule, etc. A week goes by and I get a text asking when I am able to start working, I reply, and then they don’t reply. I text 2 days later asking if there is any update on when I will start and they tell me “probably Saturday” (2 days from then) but they’ll let me know tomorrow. Next day comes and I have heard nothing. Is it generally my responsibility to ask again when I’m supposed to go in? It…
I'm absolutely lost right now. I don't know what else to do and amazon itself has told me I can't do anything else. I've spent tens of hours on the phone with the ERC. 3 weeks ago today I had a hip surgery done after not being able to walk for 5 months due to a bone spur and loose hip joint and started a medical leave in early november. Between an ugly combination of my doctors office not filling out my leave paperwork correctly on 6 separate occasions and my case manager being completely absent, I may loose my job. I am completely desperately right now because of this. I found out that my doctors office faxed amazon a copy of my leave papers as well as emailing me them and myself uploading them though a to z after calling the ERC for the umpteenth time tonight and finding…
Not sure if this belongs here exactly but it’s work related so here it goes. I work for a Medical Marijuana dispo and the other day this guy came in and I had to cash him out. At first I didn’t recognize him but after he said several times “it’s nice to see you again” I recognized him as a guy I met once randomly and chatted with for litterally 15 minutes before leaving because he made me feel super uncomfortable. I was single at the time and gave him my number when he asked without really thinking about it. However, when he asked me to sleep with him within the first few minutes of our convo and got really weird whenever I asked him questions about himself I decided I didnt want to have anything to do with him and left. That incident was nearly a year ago and…

Why are we selling eachother short!!
I have a job right now that pays decently but I'm looking for something with less hours so I have been interviewing around and had a few people possibly willing to send offers. The only problem was that a good chunk of companies I talked to felt I was “too expensive” because some animal is willing to sell themselves short. They all talk about their margins and blah blah blah but that's honestly bullshit. I'm not going to sink margins at 20 percent above your supposed highest wage you can offer. This just drives me nuts. We sell ourselves short by taking these crap offers! Stop it you crazy people!!
