Starting a new job
Any job is just a job at the end of the day but I just secured a remote insurance adjuster gig after only working shitty blue collar Gigs for the past 10 years. I just wanted to share my experience, better work can be found!!
Just say NO!
He laid off 75,000 people a month later
I work on a smaller team. A coworker just left to go to another company after the company refused a pay raise to him and the team. Before he left the company let us know they wouldn’t be back filling his spot. Then today, his last day he sent out a company wide email. He listed his exact wage and that now the company had plenty to give us all wages. Seeing they weren’t back filling he even did the math and included it. I fully expect him to be walked out today but it was a standup thing for him to do. I plan on asking for the raise tomorrow and will be asking my teammates to do the same.
I am at my breaking point.
I just walked into another shitshow at work. It's so unorganized and I can't even get the essential things myself and my team need to do our jobs. No one seems to care about anything. I just hate it here and I can't find the courage to leave. I don't know how to do it.
Raise feels like nothing
I make the most money I have ever made in my life. $18.50. They gave me a $1 raise and it literally felt like absolutely nothing. I feel like nothing. I thought a raise was supposed to make you feel happier. I’m exhausted.
