This won’t ever end. Also if they think I’m ever coming back into the office…. I did last week and I got coughed at. And now 2 of those people have tested positive as well. What is this in-office obsession??????

Does anyone think it is possible this would happen? or have any thoughts? Maybe there are already big names supporting the fight and I'm just ignorant to it currently also any insights are welcomed!

Tomorrow is a national holiday in our country so almost no business is open (except essential). Also, non essential companies end work one hour earlier than usual the day before holiday. Not only tomorrow we will have to work from home, but also we were not allowed to leave work earlier today as every other company. Our boss motivates us by saying “since we work with other international companies, they do not celebrate this day, thus we have to adapt to them”. Which sound reasonable, except whenever these other companies we work with celebrate their holidays, we have to adapt to them and not bother them on their free days. It would be fine if they paid us for that work from home on holidays (in our country it is obligatory for business to pay double the salary if people work on holidays), however, our company thinks that since we…

So I went back to work today after a week off sick and attended my 121 meeting with my boss. I join the call and I see her boss and HR and start crapping it. Well, they shared that the new CEO has been restructuring all departments and now he’s looked at the Marketing department and he’s essentially cut it in half. So half of us are losing our jobs and I’m one of the ones going because my ‘role is no longer necessary to the business’. Not really sure how they’re going to run all the campaigns and push out the content they want without a copywriter, but okay. What I hate is I’ve consistently done overtime to deliver deadlines, pushed myself to get everything done over and over…only to get this in return? Little backstory. I work at a psychiatric hospital and rehab center as a cook. My boss keeps saying I don’t care and have a bad attitude which couldn’t be farther from the truth. We have a meeting with the cfo because we served French fries yesterday instead of potato wedges and I was told the sloppy joes today will look “ridiculous “ with wedges instead of crinkle cut fries. I am a mechanic. I am certified and have 20 years of experience. Over the last few years the daily aches and pains have begun to affect me outside of work, to the point that when I get off work, I just want to sit in my recliner with a heating pad on my back. After work I am so physically burnt out I dread having to keep up with the house. I have zero energy left over or my body aches so bad I am in no mood to do anything.
