I work in the largest hospital in my area. Received an email recently that next week we can drop by a conference room to revive a branded blanket as a token of appreciation for our hard work. This is one week after our mangers told us that retention bonuses, pay raises, and that no yearly pay increases were available. Gee thanks.

Got put on a performance improvement plan on the 9th, with the first time getting any sort of negative feedback about my work on 2/7. I also gave them notice that I have a major medical issue that landed me in the ER over the weekend on 2/7 as well. I’m also going on vacation all next week, which is included in the 30 days I have before the end of the PIP. I know this is prob the way they’re covering their ass before they fire me, and I’m looking for a new job, but ugh. I’ve only been here since September, was never really trained, and have assumed I’ve been doing well up until this. And this is the best pay and benefits I’ve ever had, and I’m bummed about the whole thing.
Company Survey Fear
To keep it short the company I work for had a third party reach out to us to take a survey. There are no questions that make an individual identifiable, but we were each issued our own personal link by the surveyor. The company I work for has no access to these links or the answers to the questions we submit according to the confidentiality agreement. Is there a way this third party can give the employer my answers and could I get fired for my honest assessment? Anyone have experience with this?

Sorry for the wall of text this all just started spilling out once i started. I’ve been working at this gas station for a little over 6 months. Used to be owned by a grocery store but was bought out by another company before i started working there. I ignored all the red flags like being added to a group chat within days of being hired (that’s only been used to passive aggressively call people out), my managers deeply personal relationship with not one but TWO employees, and the lack of staffing. We’ve been through 4 employees in my short time here and it took my girlfriend getting hired (against company policy) for me to realize that it’s literally just a complete lack of training. I finally got a job that had some downtime, a relaxed atmosphere and a very reasonable workload. Some days were stressful, some days were chill. Guy before me was a boomer who had that job for years before he choose to take a more active job. I had that fucking job for 5 weeks before the owners tripped over themselves to find me more work. They complained about the quality of my paperwork, then gave me triple. They noted I had little experience and put me on my fucking own to drown. They said they wanted me office side to learn, then throw me in a fucking van to be either driving or on my feet the entire shift. God fucking CHRIST.
