I work independently as a housekeeper…. Although my job mainly consists of cleaning, I do help with other domestic tasks like food prep and dog walking etc. Recently, I had a client ask me to help her film some videos of a new product she is trying to sell. She has asked for a collection of short videos (20-60 seconds) for a combined total of 60 mins of footage. She has offered to pay me my hourly rate ($30) for the 60 mins of quality videos. she plans to edit to my videos to make social media ads/videos. Additional details: -encouraged me to film in my clients homes 🤯 -has supplied no ideas, storyboard or script for what to include in the 60 mins of short videos -told me, I should be creative and creative quality videos with the” potential to go viral.” Do you think the client truly doesn't…

Shitty owner, toxic staff, everyone is miserable. Lots of backstabbing. Everyone out for themselves. No company events, meetings, celebrations, bonuses, benefits etc. a simple hello is like a death stare. Owner only talks about himself and his properties. Never asks how anyone is doing. Revolving door of sales people. Everyone who works there is in mid 60’s and hates their life. The highlight of the day, every day, is anti Donald Trump and Vaccines. Resigned after 8 years. Am I crazy ?

Even holidays jobs are shit.
(Can't speak english very well)So I'm still in school and looked for some jobs last summer holidays. 1 one was in a ware house from a mail company. Hours would be 6-8 am and at 14-18. It's in the ass of nowhere. The next houses would be a hour away per bike and because it was a job for students, most would go like that. Need to drive 2 hours to it. (Only when I would do both shift I would get 12€ ,if only one of them 9,80€, or something like that. The minimum wage) So I think ok is shitty but at least I could get some money and a little fit with the rides. But nah even that hours that they tould me were wrong. I only could work for 6-7:30 and 14-17 and then I could only leaf. Hard work as shit ,even for me who…
For context: I’m an entry level engineer working in the energy industry and I’m working from home today. I’ve been working at this company for about 3 months now and my boss is a condescending asshole who makes it very easy to not give a fuck about putting in any extra effort. I finished putting a package together for a client yesterday and he hasn’t given me anything to do today. When he inevitably asks what I got done today, what is a professional way of saying “I didn’t do anything because you didn’t give me anything to do” or “I did exactly what you asked me to do: nothing”? TIA
I just want to make sure I’m not gaslighting myself by being upset about the fact that I am required to do accounting (we hold education conferences and have to refund people their expenses) and I’m not being paid for my extra responsibilities in my new role. Background: I’ve been at my current job for about 3 years and was promoted and moved to a different position over 4 months ago when I was told I’d be getting a 20% raise. My old department disbanded and we got shifted. Of course, that was a verbal offer for the raise but the kicker is that my new role has been doing accounting work, learning an accounting system for processing over 400 claims in a 30 day period on top of my other duties which include planning these events. And the really frustrating thing is that the accounting department gets on my…
