Found new job after almost 4 years of fulltime at the office nightmare. New job being hybrid then a while fully WFH. Now the director wants us to be in the office up to 4 days so basically back to the same shit I had before and I honestly want to kms. It was the best month of my life at work when I was working from home. I cant deal with office working again.

Around the beginning of September, I went to Austin from Houston to work there and the deal was me and my crew of 3 people (including myself) were gunna get paid like 20 an hour including overtime including a place to stay while we work. So we all agreed. Upon arriving to the house we were all staying we discovered that there was only 5 beds out of the total of 7 people. I said fuck it and crashed on the couch. I regretted it because my back started to hurt and didn’t sleep well. Then we started work. Immediately the boss turned into someone else at the the job. I was prepping a room and was cleaning it he said “HEY WTF SRE YOU DOING!?” I said “I’m prepping the room. We just finished demolition.” He said “who told you to do this?” I said this is the process.…
I work at a powersports dealership in Georgia. We sell motorcycles, 4wheelers, etc. After putting in my two weeks, I was moving a customers vehicle, I scraped the front bumper slightly and immediately informed management of the damage. Normally I wouldn’t care because the bumpers on these things are always scraped, but this guy just bought it a week before so it was pretty spotless. Management was pissed and said the company won’t be picking up the bill and I have to pay it out of my already short check due to leaving mid pay period. It’s going to be like $700 and it’s not like I’m making much to begin with. Coworkers are saying that it could be fixed with a paint marker and a blow dryer for $5 and they are making me pay for it just because I’m leaving. Can they legally pull my wages to pay…

PSA: Don’t fuck over your fellow slaves
Hi, I'm a slave just like you. I have to work for a living but I managed to carve out a semblance of a life by getting into an ok position. I work for a UK governmental body, we get paid slightly above UK average, mid level. I work 35 hours a week. I get 6 weeks paid vacation. 10 days bank holidays sprinkled throughout the year. I have Flexi, every hour worked over 35 hours I get to carry it forward and take it later or accumulate them for a full day off. We have also been fully remote since covid. 3 months ago (November) our big boss left, in came a new boss from outwith our department. Unfortunately our productivity can't be hidden as our system tracks open items, plus how many are closed by each person etc. Took the new boss 3 months to notice when he…
Just got done talking to the Dept. of Labor and my boss IS required to pay me MY FULL DAILY SALARY on days they send me home. No matter how many hours I actually work! I can't wait to post the “you've been served” – from 3 more agencies- update next week!
