Cell Phone Question
My employer wants me to download an app to my phone as part of a 2 step authentication process for an app at work. They do not pay for my phone, it's strictly for personal use. Do I have to do this? I'm in the US.
Any ideas on fighting corporate greed?
These CEOs are getting away with paying their employees peanuts, price gouging customers, and riding the gravy train. It seems like a lot of industries have become oligopolies. One company raises their prices, then the others follow. They do this multiple times per year, give their employees a couple more cents once per year, and tell angry customers “we had to raise our prices because our employees wanted more pay.”
Worked in a temp to hire position for 18/hr, no PTO, no holiday pay, no discounted parking, or transit vouchers. Right in the middle of downtown Seattle. I live in SeaTac, so I either get up at the crack of dawn and drive into Seattle early to get 17$/day parking (because if you come after a certain time, its 30$/day), or drive to a park n ride at the crack of dawn, hope for a free spot, then take the train and do -24$/week, then walk another 10 minutes into the building, which is being remodeled, the escalators always being down, and finally get into the floor. I only lasted 5 months out of my 11 month contract, but I do not regret quitting. The job was easy, but the corporate, fake officey atmosphere, and the commute was just insanely mentally draining. I would kind of dread it.

This is pretty much how it went last week: Me: Hey boss, it looks like I’m covering for x person today. I’m trying to look at their assignments chart but I don’t seem to have access. Can you please help? Boss: Hops on video call with me and sees there is something off not allowing me to see others’ assignments Got it, so there is something going on. This is how you would normally do it but moving forward if you need to cover for someone, I’ll change the settings for you. Boss then proceeds to tell me to ask if I have any questions. Another week passes and I have to cover another person Me: Logs on, sees I’m not seeing this person’s assignments nor am I set to receive their calls. I had some questions on this. So I asked Me: Morning boss! Im not seeing this person’s…
