I'm a game design student and half of our assignment this semester is writing about working in the creative media industry and I'm supposed to write about my dream job, I can't force myself to write that I want to work. Other than writing some quirky 'I dOn't WAnt A TradItoNaL 9-5 :P' I can't really think how to academically say, fuck labour while still doing the assignment. Like it wants a five year plan, mate I hope capitialisms crumbled by then idk what to tell you. I can half bullshit some indie dev stuff but I'm struggling to write an introduction that doesnt make me sound like a bootlicker, any subtle or not so subtle hints appreciated

This is my first paying job and I already hated the idea of working to death to make somebody else rich. Disclaimer: I live outside of the US. I work for a company that handles a popular food chain under marketing. I don't want to say the name because I am paranoid. Every first day of the month, we HAVE to do system inventory audit at each of their store. We will be assigned to a different stores in every three month and do system inventory audit. We don't have any auditing background and is only paid about USD$7 for it. It's not even enough to refuel the car. This is not stated in their contract either. This is not legal, isn't it?

for context ive applied to two seperate internships, both paid. both sent me an offer letter with the wages cut. i'm only going to be talking about one of them though. im a designer, and i would essentially be working for a company i don't believe in at all. its like the worst version of buzzfeed and the whole point is to design those horrible ads quiz ads that everyone hates and make ads to get people to buy fucking products. not only that but the lead I'd be working under is very harsh and the environment is extremely fake. the workload and design test they gave me was very hard and they had no respect for my time or asked me if i was available to take the test. i had to give up a weekend for them. when i told them i accepted the other internship as well…
I currently work as a cook for a Pennsylvanian restaurant chain called Primanti Bros. So, anyway, we close the kitchen at 11pm on weekdays and 12am on weekends. I come in at 4pm each day and generally work for around 8 hours. During that time I do not take a break save for smoke breaks every few hours or so, business permitting; i.e. I would not take a break during the dinner rush from, say, 5-7pm, etc., and I don’t even clock out to eat or anything. Yesterday it was around 10pm, business was slowing down, and I hadn’t had a smoke in three hours. I let my coworkers know that I would be stepping away from the line. I proceeded to quickly use the restroom, refill my water, and step outside to smoke. When I came back there were a few orders on the screen and the manager totally…
