Started my new job Dec 1st. Pay day was Dec 16th. Payroll said they made an error on my DD where it had an extra digit. The account stuff was fixed the same day I notified them of no payment (Friday), however I have not seen any money. I emailed them today and they said no payment has come back yet and that they are going to request a trace, and that I have to call my banks customer service # with the trace info? Why do I have to call my bank? They made the error!

Hey guys. I have to write a document for my university regarding the SDG 8 “decent work and economic growth” . SDGs are also known as “sustainabilty development goals” defined by the UN. I chose Amazon as I know Amazon being a notoriously bad employer. I just wanted to know some stories or articles you know for me to find alle the shit I need to dunk on Amazon for my homework. First off. I love this sub. Every manager/boss should join this subreddit. I'm currently budgeted to bring on a couple employees, but the salary may be slightly below market value. Budget is 75-78k and people are asking 80-85k. Which is fine they're asking that amount. The question is… What do you think is an appropriate sign on bonus to sway you to join? Ultimately I just want to do what's right's for the team, including the newest members.

I was supposed to have a phone interview today at 9. I waited for 30 minutes by my phone with no real way to contact the interviewer (it was scheduled through candedly) and never got a ring. Instead, I got a voice-mail that my phone never notified me of and had to leave a voice-mail. Is this normal? I understand recruiters have a lot on their plate, but I just feel so frustrated and defeated.

I have math, science and Health endorsements on my teaching license. You can ONLY legally teach in the area of your endorsements. Last year I got completely burned out doing special Ed. Those who do will understand how much administration and districts take advantage of us. Last year when I renewed my teachers license, I took the special Ed endorsement off. I started the year teaching math and science. Just before winter break, they tell me they are switching me to special Ed math and science since they don’t have enough classrooms for the special Ed students. I remind them I don’t have that endorsement anymore. They say that since I have math and science and HEALTH, they can get a waiver from district so I can teach. (?????) I say, thank you, no, and I will not sign a waiver (because it would be so obviously illegal). End of…
