Hey y’all, wanted to ask like minded individuals about basically this company called Mastec in Virginia vs Delivery Associate at Amazon. Might look at other positions but I like to travel a bit however, hearing that Ethernet installation ppl only get paid for completing the job (not for the hours on the road to the job) has me a bit annoyed at how inconsistent these jobs are and how they whittle you down. Anyway, just curious if people here know; I wonder how long it takes to get a forklift license

Basically above, but I was a host and cleaner of a couple of vacation houses. I never got behind on messages to guests (which were always honest and kind), or on my scheduling of cleanings (which were always done on time), but I did get behind on scheduling a few not immediate maintenance things while I was snowed in with 3ft of snow up a quarter mile driveway up the side of a mountain, and my car needed a new engine which took weeks longer than I expected (but I always found a ride to work, or I scheduled someone else to make sure everything got done on time). It’s been a good year!
Many tech giants have been laying off thousands of workers in the past months, I'm guessing they've been replaced by roles that can utilize these new AI systems to do many of these jobs. Corporate profits are going to be astronomical in 2023 forward.
