Cemented my decision to quit my job

I work at a boarding kennel, and while I love some parts of it, other parts are really bad. I have been tossing up whether to stay or go for a few months, but a conversation I had with another staff member made me lean more towards leaving. I live in NSW and have been affected by the floods, to the point where both sides of my street have been shut off and I cannot leave. Even if I could, there is water, hazards, flood damage, and road closures all over the area. I rang to tell them I couldn’t come in, and their advice was to “keep trying”. Later I received a call from them, I was assuming maybe to check on me and see how I was, maybe ask if my house and animals were ok, but instead they demanded to know if I would be there for my 3 hour shift the next day, and guilt tripped me for not being able to. I am not risking driving through flood water for less than $60 for people who care so little for my well-being. The place has a high turnover rate, and as such, is always short staffed.
