Change work times.

Hi. This is a rant and a plea for help. I work full time in England. I have been with the same place for 5 years. I'm a hard worker and it's rare I make mistakes. I'm also a singe father. My place of work has hired a new manager (a karen) and they have changed everyone's shift times. Problem is, it makes it a lot harder for me to do these shift times with my kids, not just looking after them, but also cooking for them. Originally I did state that I couldn't work past 17:00.
They are now saying I have no choice but to work the later shifts and if I can't obviously I would have to go elsewhere.
Am I stuck with this? I like working for the company and doing the work, it's just this new manager that's a pain.
Also, I need to do the school run and was told I have to work an hour extra each day I do this. I don't have any breaks and instead of our 1 hour lunch I take 20 mins. Again, is this something they are allowed to do?
It's properly stressing me out. Thanks.
