Guy has been here for 5yrs. He asked the manager and she literally told him “this is why I don't like people talking about salaries.”
Ummm? That's why you talk about salaries, so you don't get fucked. I advised him to go to her manager and if that yields nothing go to HR. For reference he could go work at taco johns and get a $4/hr raise. Doesn't want to as he feels his position looks better on a resume. He has to work at a lower paying job because society has deemed this job “higher status” even though it makes 25% less then fast food.
