Co workers pressuring me into covering my old position when I’ve clearly stated my detest for it

Yesterday there was a line of customers out the door, and one of my co workers called in sick. I’ve told my boss how I viewed that promotion: I absolutely hate it. Dealing with customers is probably one of the worst lines of work ever. I think I finally understand DMV workers. I used to be all about wanting to help people, but now I’m like this corporate drone telling people that they have to wait a month and a half for an appointment, no matter their whining and moaning. I simply don’t care about people anymore. I’ve been screwed over when I’ve tried to help them. Anyway, back to yesterday, I was running attending other things when one of the other manager tells me to start writing up customers at the front desk. YOU AREN’T EVEN MY BOSS.

I wasn’t in the mood for arguing, so I reluctantly did it. But I don’t understand where these people get the notion to ask me to do the job that I CLEARLY STATED I DON’T WANT TO DO ANYMORE.

The worst part is nobody has a clue what they’re doing. I realize that the line of customers wasn’t that long at all. My other two co workers are super slow and they always end up chit chatting with the customers instead of just taking them in and on to the next one. Then the worst part: those two are always asking me for help on things I’ve already shown them a million times. And because I’m bilingual, guess who has to translate???? Like at least TRY TO SPEAK ENGLISH TO THEM!!!!!

And don’t get me started on our friggin operator. She thinks because I have some mechanical inclination that I have the answers to every single question that someone on the phone has about their car. JUST DO YOUR JOB AND TAKE DOWN THEIR INFORMATION AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT.

I’ll give it a couple of months. I saw they’re hiring parts delivery drivers for $25/hr at a nearby Nissan dealership. Not gonna make the mistake of telling them what I know so I don’t get screwed over. Honestly as soon as people know you know how to do something, it’s you to the rescue.
