Applied for a job about two months ago with an advertised start date of mid-March. Made it past the resume and cover letter screening stage to a phone interview.
Had the call about three weeks ago. It honestly went well but never heard back. The job has most likely started by now so know I didnt get it.
Not upset that I wasn’t selected but pretty POed that I never got a rejection/heard back! Feel like the least you could do is notify a candidate they weren’t selected after conducting a phone interview.
Would be one thing if I didn’t make it pass initial screening but we had a lengthy conversation and I had to take time out of my day to accommodate the hiring managers schedule. It’s just common curiosity to follow up! It’s extremely off putting and reflects poorly on the firm.
Anyone else experience this? Get left hanging/ghosted after an interview?
