It used to be that we qualified for a paid week of vacation after one year of being promoted and could take one paid week of vacation every year from then on. However, this was changed so that every 500 hours worked equals two days of PTO.
This wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that I started planning for a trip since November of last year, counting on that vacation time. I’m still going on that trip since it’s already been paid for but I won’t have that extra cushion to fall back on.
I do, however, think that 500 hours for roughly 16 hours of PTO is bullshit.
