Company changing my job without my consent!

I have been at a Fortune 500 company for the past 10 years and have been very loyal to my company until they started doing things that gave me a lot of uncertainty. For example, At the start of the pandemic, they made our entire department reapply for our jobs.. I get the country was going through a pandemic and lot of people lost their jobs, but this was not what I was expecting… Well now, they are realigning again, not even 15 months later, and not allowing us to have any say in our new positions. These new job requirements are going to require me to travel out of state a lot and be away from home more often. When I gave my preference of territory/role to my leaders and gave details about why I prefer one territory over the other I was really taken aback when their response…

Well now, they are realigning again, not even 15 months later, and not allowing us to have any say in our new positions. These new job requirements are going to require me to travel out of state a lot and be away from home more often. When I gave my preference of territory/role to my leaders and gave details about why I prefer one territory over the other I was really taken aback when their response was that I do not have a say and if I do not want the role/territory they put me in, then I am basically putting in my resignation.

I’ve been nothing but a top performer for the past 10 years and they’re treating me like I don’t matter. I’m fed up with the situation and feel like I’m being treated unfairly. Is this even allowed? Do I have any recourse?
