Hi! Will try to keep it short (English is not my first language so apologies in advance).
My boss has been promising to promote me for a whole year now – I’m in the same position since I was hired 4 years ago, taking up more and more responsibility.
I went to ask one more time and now “it’s not possible because due to inflation and the recession that is expected next year the company has frozen all new hires and promotions to protect itself”.
Yeah, I’m sure it’s the multimillion dollar company that needs protection during inflation/recession. Just wanted to vent for a bit as I’m sure more people might have come across this one!
