corporate overlord denies me a doctor’s appointment. uses abusive language in front of my employees and customers.

It's just as I was leaving work the other day the corporate head of some department that has not been updated and 4 years comes to my store. I offer my assistance but inform them that I'm about to leave. In front of everyone this fat pig f*** looks at me and tells me “you do not leave, I am corporate and when corporate is in your store you do not leave”. I look over and see one of my employees Jaws on the ground and I motion to her not to say anything. I thought maybe clarifying would help so I told him I had a doctor's appointment and if I would be late I would be charged $40, also pointed out that in the future it might be better to communicate via email when they might be showing up so I can accommodate my schedule. “No” he says…

He then proceeded to not talk to me for 30 minutes while I missed my appointment and at the end communicated to me information that could very well be communicated over email.

Let me clarify that I work in a company that is absolutely hemorrhaging managers. I once ran two stores for 3 months. I'm a salaried employee who does not get paid any different if I work 110 hours or if i work for 60. This week currently I'm pushing well over 80.

After careful consideration I have decided to file a complaint against him and incident report with witness statements from my employees and a video of his behavior. It's not uncommon for this company to have a toxic culture in management. Pretty much all the stores are running at half staff and they have made zero changes to accommodate this.

I've been over this job for a minute and I know my employees would like to see me stay but they also know the kind of abuse I put up with. And I doubt an incident report would result in anything but I'll keep a copy of the video and if I get fired I'll post it on here.
