Could you start a religion with the tenets of workers right?

In the US at least religion has more rights than your average worker, so what if you merged it and created a religion? I know there is various things you need to do to become an accepted religion, but gathering to talk about problems in the workplace, a scripture of worker rights, ordained labor rights ministers, etc. It all seems feasible to get acceptance and whenever an employer breaks a labor law just bring it up as infringing on your religious practices, if they fire you go after them for religious persecution. I have no clue how well it would hold up as far as via law, but it would be interesting to see.
