Human Resources powerhouse, Mercer, just released the results of their 2022 employee survey. It's called Inside Employee's Minds. The truth about what employee's want. A guide to navigating the hyper-competitive U.S. labor market.

According to this 2022 data:
- One-in-three employees surveyed are thinking of leaving their current employer, up from 1/4 in 2021.
- The number one reason employees consider leaving: Need to cover the monthly bills. This is up from 9th place in 2021.
- Number two reason is to improve their ability to retire.
- 3rd:Work/life balance 4th:Physical health 5th:Mental health
I learned about this from an interesting short podcast today with Ira Wolfe, a global expert on the future of work. I didn't actually read the report linked above. But I was intrigued by the take-aways that Ira shared in this 4 minute talk.
