I have been constantly texted about mistakes I have made while I am off the clock by my lead. I told her last night that I'd prefer to speak about these things when we see each other on Thursdays or whenever I'm on the clock if it is not urgent. She INSISTS that she will be talking to me before Thursday and says it is “not harrassment.” Well, I told her “If someone asks you to stop contacting them outside of work hours unless it's an emergency or can't wait, and you continue to do so angrily, then it is harrassment. I will no longer be responding to texts from you outside of my work hours as I lead too much of a busy life to be getting advice that I could be getting on the clock.”
Mind you, when she does give “advice” it is often rude. Last night she told me to tell her “if I think it's too much for me to handle.”
She is constantly helicoptering me and refuses to leave me be even when work is long over for the day (we closed at 6PM yesterday and she texted me at 11PM).
Can my boss require me to talk to my coworker/”lead” outside of work hours?
