Hey all, just needed to let out my frustrations after what happened at my job. So I work in fast food and while we do occasionally get a fake bill, whenever I get any bill above 20 I always check them by scratching, putting them to the light, and so on. So yesterday I was coming back from my 30 minute break when my supervisor said I had some 20's to drop into the safe, so I go ahead and do that, when I return I start to do my usual routine, take orders, charge customers, stock up, make the iced coffees and things like that, however, when charging this one person I saw a weird looking bill, and sure enough it was fake. I bring this up to my supervisor, who then started briefing me on how I should always deposit any suspicious bills and do the light check and all that.
While she was saying that I noticed my manager behind us giving me the stink eye, even though I tried explaining how I've been checking every single 20 I get (by doing this I've caught 2 in the past that didn't get past me). I proceed to say this couldn't have been my fault, as I was on break for the last 30 minutes and even when I wasn't on break I was always charging, but of course that didn't matter and she continues saying how I never listen and how I should always check bills, it made me furious.
I did eventually calm down and just brushed it off, however, when it was around my time to clock out (9 PM) I noticed we were a bit busy and decided to stay a bit to help with the dinner time rush. This, along with someone else getting there an hour late meant that I had to stay until 10:30. After trying to leave at 9:30 I wasn't allowed because of said co worker coming late. This bitch then decides to start getting ready to clock out before I do, which made me even angrier than before. When I did end up leaving my supervisor tells me to be grateful for the overtime and to not complain. She says this right after taking a 10 minute break and leaving me to rot with the huge line of customers. After all was said and done though I was fuming and just wanted to go home. I normally don't have instances where I hate my job to the pint of complete anger, but this was just horrendous. Thanks for reading.
