New grocery store near me opened very recently. Offering “competitive” wages with benefits. The whole spiel we have all probably heard before.
Friend of mine works there makes $13 an hour and they only get benefits if they are full time, which everyone is just an hour shy of. So half the workers have already quit. Shelves are absolutely barren and the workforce left (my heart does go out to them , and I hope they get out soon) can't keep up.
Not even a week open and they are already absolutely struggling to keep people or even remain open.
