My current employer considers us 1099 contract employees. They said we are supposed to get paid the 1st and 15th of the month.
Being that the Dr (I work at a chiropractors office) is off this Friday the 15th won't be back till Wednesday the 20th, that is when we will get a paper check.
Is this legal?
Also, past employees have had their final paychecks held 30 days because they didn't give 2 weeks notice upon quitting.
Very shady stuff I this office.
Any assistance would be appreciated!
