Yesterday, Emmanuel Macron said if he's re-elected for a second mandate, he wants people with the RSA (“Revenu de solidarité active”, basically the bare minimum to live in France. It's a social income.), which is around 565€ per month, to do “obligatory activities” between 15 and 20 hours per week.
It's about half less than the SMIC (“salaire de minimum croissance” or the amount of money you are not considered into poverty) which is 10,57€ per hour in gross income.
You can't live with the RSA when mostly of the rent are around 500€ for a single room (20 m2) in the smaller village of France. This money is just for you to survive during the time you search for a job. Now you're going to be forced to work without taking into account the distance to do the job( or formation, or general interest job), and every other things people with a job already struggle to do (taxes, gas, car insurance, etc).
A lot of french citicens think it's a good thing that this people finally start to work, but is it not better to give a real contract with a real salary instead of this ?
