DAE not really care about being challenged?

I know, I know, I’m fitting the stereotype. But after 9 years of working I just really don’t care anymore. I used to think I wanted to find a career and build something but then as I got older I realized the more you move up the more responsibility you get, the more hours you have to work, more stress. For maybe a bit more money but at a cost. Now, I could honestly care less about being challenged in my job. I have come to the conclusion I just want something to work normal hours and make enough money to live my life, even if it isn’t a lot. I have come to the conclusion I just want something to work normal hours and make enough money to live my life, even if it isn’t a lot. I get to work from home, finish all my work in 3 hours, and you leave me alone? Great! I’m happy as a clam. My current job and some past jobs I’ve had are kind of this way and I love it. I can read a book or do things around the house and get off work with actual energy for the rest of the day as opposed to working my ass off all day and ending the day too drained to do anything.

Granted, there are times during the month that it’s really busy but that’s normal. I’d just much rather work a job like this as opposed to some jobs I’ve had where you just work hard to leave the day drained. I’m not going to do nothing, but I’m going to get as much done as I need to in the day and then just carry on. I just really don’t give a shit anymore and I think that’s why my mental health has improved in the last couple of years..it really is JUST a job.
