Daily Mail Headline news: The impact of the strikes on millions of Britons was laid bare after a NHS patient had to pay £165 for a taxi to get to his heart surgery

Today the Daily Mail has published an article with the above headline and I am DISGUSTED. As a nation the UK like many others is at a breaking point. Teacher, nurses, etc are suffering in jobs which barely cover the cost of living anymore. The cost of my train ticket goes up every year. Yet, the trains are in disgusting condition most of the time and are cancelled every day. Where is all this money going?? Why are the workers not being interviewed more to really ask what is going on and why they are striking?

When teachers strike they publish a story about how students are being let down for their A-levels. When a child is found neglected they publish a story about how social care workers are incompetent. Now railway workers are striking for better pay and working condition and they publish an article full of anti-strike sentiment, effectively blaming the workers : “Many have been forced to walk or cycle or jump in a cab, with Uber journeys surging to roughly three times the price as desperate workers scramble to get to the office.”

We are living in an Orwellian world. Keep us divided enough so we turn on each other and nothing changes.
