Dangerously delusional

One thing I get tired of hearing from upper management is the old “own your job” saw. It seems to me that corporate america wants every employee to work like they actually own the business. This is a dangerously flawed viewpoint, not everyone wants or is cut out for business ownership, most people just want a job that respects them and the effort that they put in during the week. If we wanted to own our jobs wouldn't we be out there running our own businesses? What happened to respecting the worker who shows up, gets their job done and isn't beholden to the corporate overlords who are trying to squeeze every tenth of a penny out of them? I literally work for a corporation where I heard a full time employee be threatened with losing their full time status because they protested being scheduled to work shift that would…
