I'm new to this sub, however I am not new to the concept. I feel there is too much to experience in the planet and no time to do it because of our artificial constraints of the requirement to work.
Anyway, one thing I've noticed over the years is that I have a pretty deep hatred for those who make more money than me. And I'm not just talking about the disgusting rich people like Elon and Bezos. I'm talking about family doctors, mid level managers, IT people, truck drivers, and more. It even goes to the type of car you drive. If you drive a luxury brand (foreign or domestic) chances are I'm going to hate you.
It's gotten to the point that even on dating websites, if I see someone lists a job that I know pays more than I make, they are an immediate pass. No matter how attractive they may be.
This year I look to be making about $31,000 after taxes. That is about $10,000 less than I made last year. What happened? I changed careers. I went from manual labor as a freight handler at a trucking company, to IT help desk. Anyone who says there's money to be made in IT is an absolute fucking liar. So, since I'm making $30,000 this year, I will not date anyone who makes more than $30,000. I even have a hard time maintaining friendships with people who make more than me.
Anyone else feel this way?
