Day 1 of Vacation: “You’re in tomorrow, right?”

For weeks I've told my employer that I was taking a week off, even confirming them the dates I'd be gone from. They even acknowledged it and said it was fine. So now, the Friday before I'm off, I rushing to get my work done, even stayed a bit later to get everything done and sent off so they wouldn't be empty handed when I'm gone. So now Monday comes around and I get a message asking me “you're in tomorrow, right?” And I couldn't believe it. I'm far away from where I work or live, trying to make the most of my time off, to be caught off guard with being asked if I'm back after 1 day. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the employer or saying it's a toxic workplace, I actually do like being there, but I'm just upset at the whole situation. I…
