So I got a M.Ed. in 2018…counseling and college student development. I did everything I was supposed to do. went to school, took my loans, did my internship, got charged fucking interest the whole time i was in school and every day since.
NOT ONE SINGLE OFFER for even the most bullshit entry level roles paying not even 1/3 of what i owe Uncle Sam… they want 5-7 years experience in the same fucking jobs for which I have been pursuing. none of it makes sense, I'm over qualified and nothing good happens.
so i decided to add a little extra experience on my resume and fired a few applications in. said fuck a cover letter, fuck demographic info, fuck retyping my entire resume into text boxes. applied for a decent title role in higher ed and listed my salary expectations about 20k over what i honestly expected.
they called me in 2 days and want to move forward. now I'm nervous :/
