& I asked for a raise and was laughed at!
I was promised a raise at 90 days also. I earn $11 an hour as a 27 year old man. What the hell
Sooo trying not to make this too long. Pretty much didn’t have a job lined up after leaving my old workplace, so I applied and took the first job I could grab, my new workplace doesn’t pay shit I’m talking $11 an hour.
Anyways it’s close to home and I didn’t have a job so I took it right away been here a few months but my God do I feel so out of place. My first job in 2013 I earned $13 an hour so going to $11 an hour with inflation in 2022 was crazy to me. I’m pretty sure I could earn more at McDonald’s.
Anyways I feel like I’m in a nightmare my checks are 1/3 of what I used to earn. I’m being treated like shit and like I’m stupid and bitched at by asshole bosses and teenagers. The Florida heat is hot outside I’m dying! (It’s washing cars)
Luckily I have a few interviews lined up (one tomorrow I’m missing work for, for the first time) for a 50/60k supervisor paying jobs in my field one tomorrow actually. Next time I’m screamed at I think ima flick my boss off and tell him to fuck himself.
Does anyone have any better ideas of leaving?
I’m thinking to quit without another job lined up soon
