Didn’t anyone ever say not to call after 9 PM?

Bit of a short rant, but I'm pissed and really tired right now. Now, as a 20-somethings gamer guy, I don't always go to bed at the most sensible hour, but I've been getting better at it. My first morning meeting is typically around 7:30 AM so I like to be knocked out by midnight to stand a chance of making it through the day without needing to eat sleep for lunch. Last night was no exception, I'm in bed conked out around 12:15, and I'm not one to silence my phone or anything before bed because I shouldn't have to, right? wrong. I get pinged on WhatsApp and called by an offshore guy on my team with an issue that is so unbelievably simple it's not even worth explaining.

I of course decline the call and say, “I can't take a call right now, it's almost 1 AM, what do you need?”, which was stupid of me because that turned into 20 minutes of me basically explaining the equivalent of how to tie your shoes. Anyway, this thing that definitely could have waited until tomorrow the whole time was still not understood and he requests me to join the 7AM daily call which I typically don't join on Friday.

So now I'm here bright and early running on about 80% of the sleep I would have liked to have gotten, and the best part is THE ASSHOLE DIDN'T EVEN JOIN THE CALL. Now I'm debating escalating this because I know it won't go anywhere even if I do. This isn't the first time I've gotten messages post-midnight from offshore folks, I guess I set a bad precedent by responding.

Can anyone relate to this or have any advice on how to handle these situations when they inevitably happen again in the future?
