I’ve been trying for the last months to find a job. Since I’m disabled I figure an office job would be okay, nothing big just an entry level assistant/desk receptionist or anything available. Sadly, they all require 1-2 years of experience. I have worked temporary summer jobs but not really years of experience. Others end up just being pyramid schemes. Some work from home offers require you to pay for equipment and training. I prefer physical jobs though. I keep applying on all those employment pages. Even on my local university. Zero interviews so far. If I wasn’t disabled I could just get a job at a fast food place.
I have come to the realization that the system prefers you to start all the way down even if you have the skills and education for a step slightly above. Employment gaps are not forgiven. Even college jobs for students required experience back when I tried to apply as a student.
