I current work at an engineering consulting place as a project coordinatoor. My team consists of 9 other people.
We’ve had a req open for a project coordinator 2 role out and some of us on the team were under consideration for this position… we ended up hiring someone from the outside.
We did our snooping (grey area stuff since we have access to financials so we can) she is making significantly more money with the same education and the same years of experience as all of us but no knowledge of the account.
(No shade at the new employee at all and we will help them get up to speed)
But….
It just sucks being at a company for several years to get no recognition.
Time to update resume and job hop for that raise
