Discussion for the landlord posts

I saw some posts from landlords that are 'good'. I put quotations because i believe in their opinion, and the opinion of many, they are good. These are the landlords that don't raise the price beyond covering mortgage or taxes, i.e. they only make money off property value increasing. I think all landlords should have negative income and that rent should NEVER be at the same rate as a mortgage. For limited effort my landlord is making a huge amount of future money by me paying off their house. All for the cost of a down-payment i can't afford because i pay a lot of rent. Why is it fair for someone who works hard and pays for a place to live to end up without equity, without a house they own, and without a down payment to escape the rent cycle? A landlord is a landlord because they have money to spare on investments, so they should spare it! Its not my investments that are improving in value, its not my retirement that is secure on the backs of renters, and it's my paycheck that pays for it all.

I genuinely believe landlording is evil, and gaining profit and future wealth off the backs of people whose only crime is not being as wealthy as you right now is barbaric. Public housing should cover people that renting supports now, and owning houses should be limited to only personal use. Imagine how your life would be if a house cost $150k instead of $1.5m in some areas. Imagine if there wasn't an empty block owned by someone who is 'investing' by building a huge volume of terrible houses.

Imagine the value of your dollar was the same as the value of someone else's dollar. All a landlord does is cost money to honest workers.
