Do y’all want to hear some bullshit about my ex- employer?

So I recently left my job. I was working remotely after being in the office a few years. Remote work was so wonderful- no commute, saved on lunch and gas money, my dogs loved it, etc. I knew that the company was old school and would eventually make us return back to the office. So I decided to work my ass off. I made sure my numbers were higher than they’ve ever been, I put in OT, no email ever went unanswered for 2 hours, you get the idea. Finally the dreaded day came where we were to return. I told them I was putting in my notice because my numbers were higher than they’ve ever been, I was happy and loving my job for once. They still refused, citing the “importance of office culture”. So I quit. Perhaps they thought I was bluffing. I was toying with the idea…

I still keep in touch with a coworker, and I asked how it’s been there recently. Y’all….. not only did they have to return to the office, they tore down everyone’s cubicle and made it an open floor plan! The nerve! I was aghast. I would have literally taken a look around and U-turned out of there!
But yeah, no one wants to work.
