Do you guys take the time to speak to a recruiter on the phone about a position if they don’t tell you the salary before hand?

I am always getting messages from recruiters on LinkedIn about potential jobs, and I am just now starting to respond back to some of them since I am looking for another position. Not necessarily actively looking, but more so seeing what’s out there to see if I find something that’s better than what I have now. I always respond to the recruiters with two questions “ is this remote?” And “ what is the salary?” 9 times outta 10 they will respond and tell me if their position is remote and the salary. Often times the position is either not remote, or the salary is too low so I tell them thanks for reaching out but I’m not interested. But then there are some recruiters who say that they are “not able to discuss compensation over LinkedIn” and they want me to call them, or they want to call me.…

Honestly I wouldn’t even want to waste my time talking to a recruiter if the salary is not in my range, but would you guys still go ahead and see what they are talking about?
