I’m a supervisor at a large hotel. I’m generally known as the “squeaky wheel”. I have been fighting for better pay for almost a year. After losing half my department and barely being able to run shifts, about a month ago we secured a 3-4 dollar raise across the board for hourly employees in my department. The better rate was suppose to start July 9th and today was our first paycheck received with our new pay. So far no one on my team got their raise and all they are telling us is “we’re working on it”. We all had to sign confidentiality agreements with our raises as well so it’s hairy talking about it around work. My team as well as myself are livid and it’s just another reason I feel I can’t trust my employer.
