One of my bosses just lightly scolded me because I didn't get an important email over the weekend to fix a broadcast error. I mentioned I'm not on the clock on the weekends (I'm hourly). She said, “it's kinda different here.” I won't let them make me read my emails when off the clock. If they want me to do that I need to either be salary or pay me more.
