Due wages paid at lower rate after quitting from agency – any advice? (UK)

Hi all, after leaving my job with an agency they have reduced my pay-rate for due wages from £15/h to minimum wage. The role I worked for those particular shifts always sat at the higher rate. My work was signed off for by a client manager which should have confirmed the rate. My only worry is that the client’s managing direct had a problem with my age, stating I was “too young to be a manager”. This is despite the fact I have 3 years experience as a manager and gave them an excellent service – backed by positive feedback from customers and other client staff. Surely their refusal to supply me with the correct wages is a form of ageism, or am I reaching here? Is there anything in my power to prevent them from paying me this reduced rate when my payslip is due? Cheers
