Eating while on the clock

Don't know if this might be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer to eat at my desk. Hear me out: The way my schedule works out, I take two of my three daily meals on shift, and no I'm not lucky enough to work at one of those places with an employee dining room, so I either have to take the time to meal prep and bring something in or use a break to leave and grab fast food. I would much rather leave earlier and use more of my day to do what I enjoy like getting to bed earlier or having more time for fun things than take a whole hour break for something I have to do to survive just to return back for the rest of my shift.

Don't know if any of that makes sense. To be clear, I'm not forced to eat at my desk. It's certainly a choice. I choose to eat on the clock so I have more time away from work to do things I would rather enjoy doing.
