Ok short and sweet but anyone else experience this?
Wednsday I woke up with covid symptoms but was negative. I went into work got told they don't care if I have it or not.
Worked went home tested positive the next morning.
Where I am says 5 days quarantine without symptoms to return. Im auto immune so I'm an acception our guide line says 10 days for those like myself.
Boss says “wait for negative result then return” so I follow this rule. Suddenly I have no symptoms for the past 24 hours and now employers pushing me to go back even though I'm testing positive.
So they contradicted what they told me for one and instead of checking earlier this week to see if I could return to work they decided “he's been home 7 days in a row that's enough” and sent me a message saying it's enough their checking with public health suddenly after the workdays already started.
I'm not prepared I didn't due my hygene and eat as I had sent the e mail with the photo of my rapid test.
I'm at the end of it now I should be testing negative by now or soon and I'm not pulling the leg.
But sudden 180 because they decided they have had enough.
Thing is I go in today and make hours I won't be paid by the Government as I wouldn't have lost 50% of my week, and I'd have to use 2 sick or vacation days now if they suddenly say half way through the day to come into the store.
I've tried to explain the situation and let them know they would be also damaging my financial situation and that if health public confirms and agrees that I would happily be in starting tomorrow.
So now I'm being told it doesn't work this way if they demand me in they'll demand me in.
Some people must of called out or they suddenly stopped caring about protocol because their sick of me having time off. What do I do in this situation, im not trying to avoid work I'd rather go back in but not at the cost of my financial situation over an extra day when I'm still testing positive and was told to stay home as long as I did and wait for negative result.
