I noticed on my timesheet today that the hours I had worked over the past two weeks were just reduced by about an hour a week. I asked my boss why and he told me that it was due to the fact that he marked the time that exceeded our paid 30 min lunch as “unpaid” and subtracted that from our overall hours that week, which I guess makes sense.
I get why this was done, but it still doesn’t sit right with me.
Can anyone chime in on this? I work part time so I went from making 900+ this check to about 850 – 875.
If it’s important, this is the first time I’ve seen this done.
