Is this fucking normal?
Tomorrow is my last day working for this shitty SaaS company where I had medical benefits that were about 80% employer covered. I pay about $148 per check as my portion for two people.
My last paycheck will be issued tomorrow as per normal payroll and I looked at my medical deduction and it was $890!!!!!!
When I told HR about the error they said that since coverage is paid at the beginning of the month and that I have coverage until the end of the month that I assume the full price of medical coverage for the final half of the month because I’m no longer an employee!!
I cannot believe they’re trying to get off $500 on me! I had no idea that was a thing or I would have just been over employed until the end of the month to avoid that penalty.
Is this normal or are they as schiesty as I’m guessing?
