Employer paid me retroactively for doing two jobs simultaneously for 6 months but called it bonus pay?

My pay stub was the exact same as the rest of my checks. The difference in pay equaled out to how much taxes the government took. I guess I shouldn’t be shocked that I worked my tail end off for absolutely nothing. This was on my pay stub last month. I’m lucky () my employer paid me a difference in wages as back-pay at all. I don’t know if there is any retribution for this but I feel so slighted. I’m wondering if they had the option to call this something other than a bonus? My employer doesn’t give out bonuses so I’m shocked that’s what they chose to call this, it feels like they intentionally screwed me out of money.
